necessary piece of scuba gear. Also called scuba cylinders,
scuba tanks hold compressed air for you to breathe while under
the water. Scuba tanks are made from steel or aluminum. Steel
tanks are more expensive, but also more durable.
Scuba tanks come in a variety of sizes. Those looking for
a smaller tank should try a “pony tank”. Most
dive shops rent aluminum tanks, as steel tanks do require
more maintenance and cleaning. Trying different tanks will
help you decide which size and material is best for you!
